We are hiring: Senior Production Manager

Solarus AB is developing and manufacturing a new type of thermal and PV hybrid solar panels and is seeking an experienced production engineer to establish and build up an automated production line in Älvkarleby/Gävle, Sweden. First years capacity goal is set to 40MW (PV), which corresponds to 300,000 panels and the capacity will expand to 80MW the year thereafter.

Job Scope
  1. Establishment and enhancement of automated manufacturing of Solarus’ solar panels
  2. Together with R&D develop and improve production technology and methodology
  3. Together with the company management recruit evolve and increase the organization
  4. Responsible for all technical and quality aspect of the automated manufacturing in Älvkarleby, Sweden
  5. Responsible for process development and quality assurance
Work Experience and Education Requirement
  1. Management experience and hands on experience in establishment of automated manufacturing with industry robots
  2. Experience of the solar business is a great advantage.
  3. Preferrably with work experience in an international environment and has good command of English as well as communication skills, although majority of the Solarus employees are Swedish.
  4. Master in mechanical engineering and preferablly with solar technology knowldege and specialize in manufacturing
  5. The candidate should have 10+ years of work and management experience

About Solarus

Solarus develops and markets hybrid (PVT), thermal and PV solar panels built in renewable composite material. The technology is based on more than 12 years Swedish research at Lunds Tekniska Högskola, Ångström-laboaratoriet i Uppsala, Solenergi Centrum at Dalarnas Högskola and Vattenfall’s solar research laboratory in Älvkarleby.

The solar panel manufactured by Solarus is low concentrating type, which means that the light is concentrated 3,4 by a reflector. The shape of the reflector is shaped optimized for the sun’s movement during a year so that all light always hits an energy receiver (absorber). The solar panel can be used for solar heating, cooling and electricity generation on houses and building but also in solar farms. Solarus is located in Stockholm with management, sales and marketing, assembly and appliances in Norrtälje and automated manufacturing in Älvkarleby.
