The Thermal System

(CPC-T-1500W)

Solarus thermal collectors make an impression with their high efficiency and their attractive price/performance ratio. The collectors are solar keymark certified. Their high quality ensures permanent operational reliability and a long service life. The fact that our system perform better, last longer, and require hardly any maintenance, would save you even more money in the long run. Once the installation is complete, you will receive more free heat energy for 30+ years.

To convert the maximum amount of solar energy into heat, the collectors are automatically aligned towards the sun, which maximizes energy utilization. The seasonal adaptability feature made Solarus collectors the perfect choice for regions where sunlight is not abundant, as they are able to make solar energy available even when the radiation is very low. Our collectors have a High Optical Efficiency of 72%, and an overall system heat loss as low as (1,2-1,9w/K).

Furthermore, Solarus thermal collectors can be easily integrated into existing water heating and space heating systems. They can be installed free standing on tracking system, fixed on rooftop or even serve as the roof cover.

The thermal capacity of our of Solarus systems is shown in the graph below. The efficiency of our present thermal collector( shown as orange curve) outperforms most of the major types of solar panels in the current market. The performance of the very best vacuum collector (shown as the blue curve) is better, but it is far more expansive. Solarus’ thermal system has a good high temperature performance, which is very important for more demanding segments of the market such as district heating, solar cooling, water desalination, etc.

  • “Flat plate ref” refers to a state of the art flat solar collector.
  • “Sydney VT ref” refers to a traditional vacuum-tube solar collector. The collector type represents the most common type of vacuum-tube collector on the world market.
  • “Blenda stnd” refers to the present version of the Solarus Thermal solar collector (CPC-T-1500W). At medium scale production levels we will be able to sell this version with lower price than all known competitors. The Solarus collector has low material content and weighs only 14kg/m2.
  • “Throw flow VT ref” refers to a type of very efficient vacuum-tube solar collector. The performance is outstanding, but the product is so expensive that the market is extremely limited.
  • “Blenda Teflon+abs” refers to a new version of the Solarus solar collector that we are developing. The price will however be very competitive.
